Hi

I have created 2 new colours to my "Satin Shine Gowns" namely yellow and steel to be sold at $100L and a "DNR White Glamour Boa" to be sold at $150L.






I have also extended my free St Patrick's day gift of "Satin Shine in Lime" till the 17th of March 2009

The Satin Shine gowns sold at 100L can be used for my "Satin Shine Photo Contest 2009"

My special RFL 2009 Mara Floral Collection in Pink is sold at $1880L

These vendors can be found in my Relay for Life store in Clothing Fair 6 - by Alexander F, The Arabian Sea (130, 126, 23)and in my main store in Tropical Orchid ( displayed at the front on the right as you enter the main entrance.

St Patrick's Day Gift Sets by Nicky Ree

For St Patrick's Day 2009, I have placed a new colour for my "Satin Shine Collection". "Satin Shine Lime" is now available for everyone at the price of 0L for St Patrick's Day for a limited time period only.

For my "Nicky Ree's Fashion Designs" members I have created a special " Satin Shine Floral Set in Green" for St Patrick's Day 2009.

This set contains 2 flexi prim skirt styles, the Svelte and the poofy evening gown skirt style.

The fabric pattern used for this gown is my own drawn flower pattern and cut, style, shading and folds are taken from my older collection called "Julia" and "Spring Romance" collection.

The item can be bought for 1L at the groups members vip ballroom at the LM attached in the notecard sent out to members today. Tropical Orchid (91, 208, 131)

This set is for sale at 1L for a limited time period only, as I will remove it on the 15h March. So Members remember to wear your group tag.

RFL 2009 Adephagia Auction Gown By Nicky Ree

About the Designing Nicky Ree "Adephagia" Gown for Relay for Life 2009

This year I created a gown based on the theme set by the RFL Clothing Fair Organisers. The theme I selected is Gluttony.

Adephagia in Greek mythology was the goddess and personification of gluttony. Not much is known about her, and is only mentioned once as having a temple on the island of Sicily where she was worshipped alongside Demeter, the goddess of grain and fertility. It is likely then that while gluttony is associated with self-indulgence or excess, in actual worship Adephagia may instead have been revered as a goddess of agricultural bounty.

With this in mind I created a gown using the graphic motif of grapes, draping the luscious vines of grapes round the soft curves of the gown. Rich, fertile and luscious is the theme for this gown.

The gown is no transfer. There are two ways you can wear this gown, with system skirt or without system skirt.

You will note that I have made some hair decoration in the form of grapes. I will include these items in the set as an extra just incase you want to attain the same look as in the poster. Like the gown itself, this will be mod copy only. Note this will only fit the hair style I used in the advert (Sky Everett Designs-Temptress Blonde-Wheat). If you have another form of hair style, you will need to place the grapes and its leaves on the hair you have yourself.

How, When and Where to Bid for the Gown?

This year at the SL Clothing Fair there will be a Silent Dress Auction featuring original interpretations of the designs seen grid-wide representing the 7 Deadly Sins.

Bidding will start when the fair begins on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 10:00 am SLT and will close at 6:00 pm SLT on Sunday, March 22, 2009.

Winners will be announced at 8:00 pm SLT on the 22nd to bid the fair adieu.

Auction will take place on the Entertainment sim place your bids early and often.

DNR Satin Shine Photo Contest 2009

Hi hi :)

Many of you have messaged me about holding a contest again but with gowns this time round. So here it is ladies and gentlemen.
My Satin Shine gown collection is for sale at my main store in
Tropical Orchid. Each colour
costs 100L. The Satin Shine in Pink is a free gift at 0L and is
available at the front of my store
in the gift display wall. You can choose any colours from my Satin
Shine range to photograph for the contest.

HOW TO ENTER:

* Pictures to be taken inworld in SL.

* Photoshop is allowed but for mostly for enhancement and touchups,
skills in photography within SL and good lighting for the overall
picture is important.

* IMPORTANT: take your pictures in high resolution

* Maximum of 3 pictures to be entered in the contest. You can upload
these pictures to my flickr group “DNR Satin Shine Photo Contest 2009”

Title the pictures :

* By submitting a picture you allow DNR its use in promotional materials.

Guys can enter too, if you are shooting the photos and you have a female model wearing the outfit, just enter the photo under your name and do mention the model's name in the photo description.

New Release - Sweet Theresa Dress Collection by Nicky Ree

Hi :)

It has been a long while, since my last release. I have been recovering from jet lag and it took me a long time to get back to the work flow of designing again.

I finally managed to get my new collection entitled "Sweet Theresa Dresses". The flower pattern on the fabric of the dress is taken from one of the many flower designs I did for my older collection "Spring Romance". This time round I did an updated version of the flowers and created a sweet simple dress collection with it.

Available in various colours in my main store at Tropical Orchid, displayed at the front near the sofa area. Matching shoes also available for sale.

This is a whopper of a set. I experimented in photoshop to create this special pattern and relief for the textile.

Nicky Ree Catsuit Photo Contest Results!

I have to thank everyone who entered the contest for their effort and the lovely and interesting pictures. I am really amazed at the creativity and the high level of competition this contest had. It really made judging very difficult. All the judges agreed that they could have easily selected 30 winners.

There were so many pictures I loved but there had to be one winner and a first runner up. We finally narrowed it down to the top 12 selections and chose the top 2 winners.

A Sneak Preview - Egyptian Goddess Collection

Hi

Several talented designers and I have designed several special collection inspired by the motifs, clothes and fashion worn at the time of ancient Egypt in conjunction with the launch of a special event and sim created by the talented people behind Rezzable.

My contribution to this Egyptian themed event is called "Egyptian Goddess Collection" I had made several sketches of styles, but alas, time was running out for me and only managed to work on one set. I hope you will like this collection.

Catsuit contest is now closed

Hi :)

The Nicky Ree Catsuit Contest is now closed and judging begins today. The results will be announced on 8th Feb. 2009 and the first prize winner will win the 20,000L cash prize and the first runner up 7,000L cash prize. One of the judges is my former boss and creative director of a multi-national publishing company and a photographer, hence why we needed a week to cater for the different work schedules and time differences across the continents.

I must thank all of you for all your beautiful pictures and I hope you had fun making them. It will be a difficult task deciding on the winner.

New Lady Mei Victorian Collection by Nicky Ree

I had sketches of a victorian style collection sitting on my desk for months. Finally this month I managed to put my ideas onto digital form in photoshop. I chose the name "Mei" for several reasons. "Mei" in chinese can mean pretty, beautiful or a generic name for a young lady or little sister as in "Mei Mei" and in dutch "mei" is the name for the month of May.

While drawing this collection I kept thinking about my mother, guess after seeing her during my November holidays I am missing her again and since my mother's birthday is in the month of may, this collection name was thus named.

Lady Mei Victorian Collection comes with 2 different styles, one a more traditionally inspired gown of the victorian era, great for role playing and one in a more sleeker and modern style with a svelte long skirt for that evening of classic elegance. Available in 18 colours in my main store in Tropical Orchid.

The colours available are : Yellow Gold, Steel, Silver White, Salmon N Pink, Red, Red N Choc, Red N Black, Purple, Pink, Pearl Blush, Green, Gold N Green, Choc, Blue, Black, Black N Purple, Aqua, Aqua N Blue.

While designing the gown I got inspired to design some matching hats to go with it. The hats designed for this collection is sold seperately.
